Humans spend a lot of time, energy and money trying to control nature. But at the end of the day, mother nature conquers all. It can be easy to forget the innate danger of the mountain. At any instant or with a slight mistep, mountains can become perilous places. "Little People // Massive Mountains" is an attempt to showcase the dichotomy between the might of the mountains and the tiny beings who humbly roam it.
On a mission for bottomless pow; Carson, Alexander, and I, hiked up a summit in our home resort of Verbier called Mont Fort. Lying on the range between the valleys of Bagnes and Nendaz, at 3,328 meters above sea-level it is the highest peak north of the Col de Louvie. I brought my Minolta XD7 along with me to document the adventure, and each negative was self-developped in the dark room then scanned.
